Canal and strait transitsGANGWAY ONLY

Daily transits through a strait or canal, by direction and vessel type. Each gate is defined in the answer (defined_by); strait lines are ours, not official reporting lines. Gates: dover, gibraltar, bosphorus, oresund, singapore, malacca, hormuz, babelmandeb, suez, panama, kiel. Coverage varies by gate; days we did not hear a gate are marked, never counted as zero. No positions. The figures in the example are illustrative.
